“I used to believe,” Urian said to himself while he was walking to school, “that anyone that had seriously believed in the paranormal; the silly legends of witches and wizards and fairies of England, the so called demons from countless religions, were all idiots. I believed that whoever would blindly, and willingly, follow and worship any of that fictional.. crap(for lack of a better word), was just plain stupid. There was no such thing as ghosts, or ‘vengeful spirits’. No undead beings walking among us. No apocalypse. None of those silly stories. Just things that people made up to cover up their own mistakes and to have something to blame every misfortune on.” He stopped for a moment in the street. “What would be the point to believe in it? I can’t see it, that means it doesn’t exsist.”

Urian looked up at the morning sun, “The ultra-violet rays of the sun can’t kill a vampire, because a vampire doesn’t exsist. It cannot cause him to burst into flames and turn to ash because of it’s effect on his overly-sensitive skin, because he does not exsist.”

He clutched the strap of his backpack tightly as he continued walking, “But now..” he looked at the concrete road beneath him, “Because of that stupid,” he glared slightly, “Stupid Norwegian vampire, I am forced to believe that all of which I have ridiculed is, in fact, completely and undoubtedly true, because it is now right in front of my very eyes to see,” he kicked a lone pebble down the street, “but how can I believe such an idiot? Someone who is supposed to be so wise and full of knowledge, which has been sculpted with time, but is instead a complete imbecile. It is honestly a miracle that he has survived for so long. That a dolt such as he could live for so long without being murdered by his own idiocy and lack of reading the atmosphere,” he threw his backpack at the ground in front of him from frustration, “why do I believe such an idiot?”

He stared at his backpack lying on the ground for a moment, contemplating kicking it or simply picking it up and carrying on to school. Before he had a chance to decide a figure, completely covered from head to toe in thick clothing, walked up to the backpack, picking it up gently with a single gloved hand. The figured strolled up to Urian and handed him his backpack and removed his hood just slightly, letting his blond hair pool out around his shoulders.

“Du tror meg,” he whispered, moving his face closer to Urian’s, “fordi du elsker meg” he placed a light peck on the boy’s cheek before he could move away and then smiled, “you should know that well enough by now, Uri. I don’t know why you insist on hiding it so fervently.”

Urian roughly grabbed his backpack from Sindre, “I don’t love you, and you know it. I don’t know why you keep insisting that I do.” He placed his backpack around his shoulders and walked past the man.

“Ah, men du elsker meg virkelig.” Sindre chuckled, knowing he was just annoying the boy even more, which he really did enjoy doing.

Urian grumled, “Speak in Japanese. You’re not in Norway, you know..”

“Of course, my love!” Sindre leisurely followed after Urian on his way to school, knowing that even if the boy would constantly say that he was annoyed by the vampire or even hated him, that it wasn’t true in the slightest. Because really, “han elsker meg~” Sindre hummed.

notes;
I don’t actually know Norwegian, so I had to use google and some dictionaries to help. If anyone comes across this and knows the correct translation for the phrases, pleeeease tell me! I would appreciate it very much!

1.“Du tror meg, fordi du elsker meg.” – “You believe me, because you love me.”
2.“Ah, men du elsker meg virkelig.” – “Ah, but you really love me”
3.“Han elsker meg~” – “He loves me~”
